SONGER STUDIO
Songer Studio was founded in 2002 by Heidi and Eric Songer.  Our studio consists of four components:

Heidi teaches private voice, piano and violin lessons out of our home in Chaska.  She teaches students of all ages.  Eric teaches private guitar and low brass lessons at Chaska Middle School-West.  He also teaches students of all ages.  Heidi and Eric also teach and direct a wide range of classes and ensembles in Chaska including jazz band, marching band, rock ensembles, music technology and much more!

Eric has written hundreds of compositions and arrangements over the past fifteen years.  Most of the music is written for his school bands, his brass quintet, church groups or commissions.  He has a wide array of music for jazz band, concert band, marching band, brass quintet, horn lines and more.  It’s all available per request.

Eric (trombone, guitar) and Heidi (voice, piano, violin) both perform professionally and are available for hire.  They enjoy performing together.  Eric also is in many established performing groups in the Twin Cities.  Heidi and Eric are now also forming their own vocal/guitar duo.  They are performing songs from the last 25 years.

Heidi and Eric have recorded a couple albums and have also appeared on many albums.  The music includes jazz, lullabies, retro eighties and techno dance.  We’re quite eclectic musicians!

and I guess you could consider this a fifth component:

Eric is also an avid music chart watcher.  Ask him what was Corey Hart’s follow up to “Sunglasses At Night” and he will be quick to tell you that it was “It Ain’t Enough” which reached #17 in 1984.  He is always afraid he is going to miss some great song that is floating around out there.  Check out his weekly pop chart and interesting chart trivia every week.
